Nzingah Oniwosan
Founder & Executive Director
Nzingah Oniwosan is a multidisciplinary teaching artist, cultural worker, and wellness practitioner whose work bridges arts, culture, movement, and community care. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Sankofa's Child, a nonprofit organization that supports community well-being through creative wellness programs, cultural practice, and arts-based learning experiences.
With more than twenty years of experience in arts education and community-based programming, Nzingah has worked with schools, cultural institutions, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations to design accessible programs that honor lived experience and cultural knowledge.
Her approach treats culture as a living practice and wellness as a collective experience, creating spaces where people of all ages can connect, create, and thrive.

Sankofa's Child's Board of Directors is currently composed of founding board members who support the organization's growth, governance, and strategic development. The organization is in the process of expanding its board to include additional members with expertise in education, public health, finance, and community development.
